This place suits me perfectly with great wi-fi, delicious restaurant, and welcoming bar. The staff once helped me print documents during my first stay, which I remember fondly. I highly recommend it, and I’ll be back for Christmas!

great access to parks and historic sites for city strolls
I had a great night's sleep, and the cooked breakfast was wonderful, making it a delightful start before heading out to explore the nearby Douai Abbey Church, just over 3 km away, and enjoying a peaceful stroll by Kiln Pond, located just over 4 km from the hotel, which perfectly matched my love for walking and discovering landmarks. the staff were friendly and accommodating for a single traveler like me, but the room I received was quite compact and had limited sockets, which made my morning routine a bit challenging.

The hospitality exceeded our expectations, especially when the manager went out of her way to find us alternative accommodation after a frustrating day. The staff's kindness made a challenging situation feel significantly better.

Well-appointed and comfortable rooms that made our stay enjoyable.
Some areas, like the bathroom, could use a touch-up and better cleaning.

The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was decent, although some dishes fell short, like a pie that needed more flavor. Service was a bit lacking, with slow responses and some minor mix-ups. an enjoyable visit with room for improvement.

Had a lovely night stay in a cozy room with an amazing shower and great breakfast options. The sun terrace was perfect for chilling out, and I loved the garden area too. Just a tiny thing, it could use a bit more dusting, but nothing that would stop me from coming back. 🌞

The room was cozy, yet dessert options were disappointingly limited.

Those thin crispy fries at Hinds Head were a revelation, perfectly seasoned and easy to munch on while enjoying the lively atmosphere! Plus, the bar staff were super attentive and made our evening feel vibrant and special. Not to forget, the cozy rooms felt like a warm hug after a long day.
We had to switch rooms, and the new place was a letdown—no wardrobe or dressing table, and it had dog hairs everywhere! It was quite the disappointment, especially when we were there to prep for a wedding.

Cozy, well-designed rooms featuring thoughtful touches like dental packs and biscuits. The location offers stunning views of the Berkshire countryside, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
My room felt a bit cramped with limited space for personal items and a tiny window blocked by a desk. Unsatisfying breakfast with undercooked poached eggs and missing cutlery. Dust and debris found in drawers and around the room highlighted some cleaning shortcomings. Dinner was lacking as well, with dry pie and lukewarm sides presenting poorly. Parking also became an issue during peak hours, leaving me wandering a bit to find a spot.
